Patriotic Pretzel Twists

These one-bite quick & easy treats are perfect for everyone since they're the perfect combo of sweet and salty. The crunchy, crisp saltiness of the pretzel combined with the sweet, smooth chocolate kiss will leave your mouth watering and wanting to eat the rest of the plate 🤤.
The best part about this recipe is how simple and quick it is. Honestly, the most time consuming part is unwrapping all of the Hershey's kisses, and even that is quick lol.
One of the main reasons we love this recipe (aside from how addicting these things are) is the fact that you can literally make them for any occasion so long as M&M's make the color you need. NFL watch parties, graduation parties, Christmas, Halloween, St. Patty's Day... the list goes on. We previously posted the pretzel twists we made for Valentine's Day (for that one we used Hershey's hugs instead of kisses). You can find the recipe here.
Anyway, here are a few tips from us to you!
Tip #1: Lay the pretzels line by line on the cookie sheet (as seen above). In our opinion, this makes it easier to place the Hershey's kisses and M&M's. Something about the consistency and organization...
Tip #2: Unwrap all of the Hershey's kisses ahead of time.
Tip #3: If you're picking certain colors out of an M&M bag for a specific occasion, do this ahead of time as well (ex. using only red and blue from the M&M originals bag).
Tip #4: Keep an eye on the kisses while they're cooking. Once they start to get shiny, you can do a test by placing an M&M on top of one of the Hershey's kisses and seeing if the chocolate is melted enough to push the M&M down all the way. If the M&M doesn't push down all the way and it feels like the bottom of the kiss isn't melted enough, keep it in for another minute (maybe less).
Tip #5: Last but not least, put the M&M's on immediately once taking the pretzels out of the oven. You want to avoid having to press into cooled, hardened chocolate.
Don't let our abundance of tips fool you, this is SUPER SIMPLE. We're just trying to make it as easy and seamless as possible :)
Mini Salted Pretzel Twists
Red, White & Blue M&Ms
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Lay pretzels flat on a cookie sheet. Top each pretzel with a Hershey's Kiss.
3. Bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes.
4. Immediately upon taking the pretzels out of the oven, place an M&M on top of each Hershey's Kiss. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
5. Eat all of them in one sitting ;)
